Known for her distinctive voice and rich storytelling, Sue Ray’s signature sound and bold stage presence have cemented her a place in Australia’s rich musical landscape. She has been recognised with three Queensland Music Awards, and nominated for several other industry awards, including “Best Country Album” at the AIR Independent Music Awards, and semi-finalist in the 2023 International Songwriting Competition.

Joining QLD Fringe at home in Toowoomba, Ray will unveil a new studio album, a powerful body of work, showcasing an evolution in sound and spirit that promises to be her most fully realised work to date.

WES CARR - QF2026 ARTIST AMBASSADOR

Australian Idol winner and chart-topping singer-songwriter Wes Carr joins the inaugural Queensland Fringe as official Festival Ambassador. Wes will travel with the festival across every destination of its first statewide journey, bringing live music, storytelling and connection to communities throughout Queensland.

PHOEBE PARADISE - ARTIST IN RESIDENCE

Acclaimed Queensland contemporary visual artist Phoebe Paradise joins Queensland Fringe as the festival’s inaugural Artist in Residence. Inspired by the people, places and spirit of the festival, Phoebe will create a signature original artwork for Queensland Fringe and serve as the official visual artist for the 2026 season.
